Hoard's Dairyman Farm Creamery Sark Butterkäse

Creamy, buttery, mild and versatile - these are the words that first come to mind when describing our Sark Butterkäse cheese. Named after the Channel Island of Sark, this golden delight originates from the German and Swiss Alps but is now loved across borders.

Rich Guernsey milk gives this mild cheese an almost luxurious creaminess that melts in your mouth. Did we mention it's versatile? This cheese enhances just about everything it touches, from soups, omelets, pasta, and steamed vegetables to sauces, sandwiches, or your next appetizer plate. Some old-school cooks even add it to strudels. As Sark matures, it becomes spreadable at room temperature, opening up a world of new possibilities.

Slice it on sourdough with prosciutto and olives, and garnish with grapes, plums, or melon. It pairs beautifully with a Chardonnay or Riesling, but also elegantly with your favorite lager or a glass of brandy.
