Hoard's Dairyman Farm Creamery Sark Butterkäse

Creamy, buttery, mild, and versatile—these are the words that first spring to mind when describing our Sark Butterkäse cheese. Named after the Channel Island of Sark, this golden delight originated in the Alps of Germany and Switzerland, but is now loved across borders.

Rich Guernsey milk gives this mild cheese its melt-in-your-mouth, almost luxurious creaminess. Did we say versatile? This cheese enhances almost anything it touches, from soups, omelets, pasta, and steamed vegetables, to sauces, sandwiches, and your next charcuterie board. Some old-school cooks even add it to strudel. As it ages, Sark becomes spreadable at room temperature, opening up a whole new world of possibilities.

Slice it onto sourdough with prosciutto and olives. Serve alongside grapes, plums, and melons. It pairs wonderfully with Chardonnay or Riesling, and harmonizes elegantly with your favorite lager or a glass of brandy.
