Crooked Stave Vieille 2015 (375ml)

A classic saison beer that beautifully combines the citrus flavors of lemon and lime, herbal taste, and acidity from the wooden barrels.

Vieille, which literally translates to "old tradition" in French, is a barrel-aged version of a classic Saison beer.

By incorporating traditional techniques, we have been able to recreate the simple, unadorned and complex flavor of Saison beer.

Saison beer was originally the original wild ale, enjoyed by farm workers as a refreshing change of pace between work tasks.

The Vieille is aged in an oak hooder, which gives it a subtle Brettanomyces-like character and complex acidity.

It is then lightly dry hopped to finish, adding a delicate citrus hop aroma.

When you put it in your mouth, you can enjoy the citrus flavors of lemon and lime, a subtle herb and spice kick, and a refreshing acidity finish.

Vieille is the epitome of an artisanal saison beer.
