Double IPA, the bigger brother of Union Jack, with an intense hop aroma that meets the expectations of IPA lovers.

Double Jack combines aggressive hoppiness, impeccable balance, and dangerous drinkability.

It's a beer that has further enhanced Union Jack, a classic West Coast IPA.

It was Firestone Walker's first Imperial IPA, introduced in 2009 as part of the "Proprietor’s Reserve" series, a premium line in Firestone Walker's portfolio.

By adding approximately 4 pounds (about 2 kg) of hops per barrel (about 117 L), it's packed with an astonishing hop aroma that far exceeds the expectations of IPA fans.

Warrior and Columbus are used for bittering, Cascade and Centennial for late boil, and Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial, and Simcoe are generously used for dry hopping.

From the deep golden liquid poured into a glass, grapefruit, tangerine, and floral pine aromas overflow.

Upon tasting, stone fruit flavors first stimulate the tongue, followed by notes of pine and African blue basil (African blue basil is a perennial basil with a mint-like flavor).

The sweetness and body derived from pale malt and crystal malt balance this intense hop flavor, achieving a dangerously drinkable quality.

The finish leaves a lingering, firm bitterness on the tongue.

Imperial IPA is a style that symbolizes the evolution of IPA.

Among the many Imperial IPAs, Double Jack is one of the most highly regarded beers.

Awarded a bronze medal at the 2012 Great American Beer Festival.
