Firestone Walker Mind Haze (355ml)

A juicy yet refreshing Hazy IPA with a hop-derived citrus, grassy, ​​and pine-resin aroma.

Firestone Walker's first Hazy IPA.

This hazy style, typical of Firestone Walker, was perfected after a year of trial and error.

It all started when Brewmaster Matt came across Weizenbock while visiting Gutmann Brewery in Germany.

Weizenbock is a traditional beer style that has been brewed in Germany for over 50 years, with a cloudy white color, a creamy mouthfeel and a tropical banana aroma.

Inspired by this historic beer, Matt and his team set out to create a beer that "everyone would agree is a Hazy IPA, but that still had the original Firestone Walker flavor."

At the same time, we strived to create a beer of quality that would rival Firestone Walker's other IPAs.

Matt explains that Mind Haze gets its haze not from yeast or starch residue like most hazy-style beers, but from the action of natural proteins, tannins, and enzymes.

This natural process not only creates the cloudy beer with the rich mouthfeel and texture that everyone expects from a hazy IPA, but also results in a high-quality hazy IPA.

The name Mind Haze is a combination of the fog that perpetually shrouds California's Central Coast and the confusing, cloudy idea of ​​what a hazy IPA is.

When poured into a glass, the grassy and resinous aroma of hops overflows.

This is followed closely by citrus zest like lemon and orange peel, juicy tropical fruit aromas, and slightly sweet malt aromas like caramel and cracker biscuits.

With one sip, the flavors of tropical fruits such as pineapple and lychee spread across your tongue, along with a strong hint of grass and resinous bitterness, creating an exquisite balance between the fruity flavor and the mild bitterness.

Medium bodied with a clean, dry finish.
