Each autumn, Firestone Walker collaborates with local winemakers to create a beer celebrating Firestone Walker's anniversary.

Firestone Walker, founded in 1996, celebrates its 28th anniversary in 2024, hence the name XXVIII Anniversary Ale.

The journey to the Anniversary Ale begins with groups of winemakers creating original blends by combining countless ingredients.

All created blends are blind-tested, and the chosen blend forms the base for that year's Anniversary Ale.

Firestone Walker Brewmaster Matt Brynildson says, "Winemakers are sophisticated in the art of blending.

That's why their cooperation has been essential since we started this Anniversary Ale in 2006."

This 28th-anniversary blend is a superb harmony of malty richness from barleywine and quadrupel, and roasty chocolate notes from stout.

It offers aromas reminiscent of caramel and bourbon, with nuances of cinnamon pastries and dark cherries.

Smooth on the palate, with flavors of caramel cookie, vanilla, and oak.
