This extremely popular seasonal product temporarily monopolizes the production line of the standard product. The elegant fresh hops will add color to the New Year holidays in Japan too.

A generous celebration of fresh hops.

Brewed annually since 1981, this is Sierra Nevada's first IPA and one of the earliest IPAs in craft beer history.

It is their highest selling beer of the seasonal range.

This beer, which uses a generous amount of hops selected by the brewer himself, can be said to be one of the earliest American-style IPAs in the history of American craft beer.

Celebration was first brewed by founder Ken Grossman in October 1981 as a winter seasonal beer, and the recipe has remained unchanged since 1983.

In other words, even after more than 30 years, the taste remains the same as it was back then.

The fact that such beers are still loved today is entirely due to Grosmann's foresight and his undying passion for hops.

The hops used are carefully selected Cascade and Centennial.

And not just any hops, but fresh hops (dried hops harvested within seven days).

Although there are differences depending on whether they are dried or not, and whether whole hops or pelleted hops are used, hops will lose their freshness and original character over time.

Grossman used the freshest hops possible to create beers with vibrant flavors.

Nowadays, beers with a strong hop flavor are accepted as a matter of course, but it was shocking to see such a strong flavor produced in the early 1980s.

Even now, before the hop harvest season each year, a lot of effort is put into selecting the hops that will be used in Celebration.

Around the first week of September, they select the hop farms to be used for this year's brewing, and once harvested, they dry them at low temperatures immediately, pack them, and deliver them to the brewery as quickly as possible.

Once the hops arrive at the brewery, it's a festive occasion.

As soon as the fresh hops arrive at the brewery, they all start brewing at once, producing beer with powerful citrus aromas. This is an annual event that marks the beginning of winter for Sierra Nevada.

In the glass it has a deep amber colour with a creamy beige head.

The aroma is intense pine, citrus, floral, fruity, malty and slightly spicy.

The taste is bitter grapefruit, malt and a hint of tangerine sweetness.

The finish is dry and bitter.

What is particularly noteworthy is the exceptional balance of hops and malt, allowing you to fully enjoy the hop flavor while still maintaining a mellow taste that doesn't tire your palate.

This beer is sure to be an enjoyable addition to your winter holiday season.

Raise your glass and enjoy the blessing called Celebration.
