Karl Strauss Boat Shoes IPA (473ml) / Boat Shoes Hazy IPA

A long-established, popular Hazy IPA from the holy land of San Diego. It combines refreshing citrus aromas of grapefruit and lemon with fruity aromas of mango and pineapple.

Originally, it was born as one of Karl Strauss's Small Batch programs, but it sold out within days of its unprecedented release.

Since then, it has been brewed several times, and each time it has become a hit product, selling out like hotcakes.

As proof, it was highlighted as one of the most reacted-to posts on Karl Strauss's official Instagram, received an incredible 1,500 reviews on Untappd, and even won a bronze medal at the National IPA Championship hosted by Brewing News, showing its soaring popularity.

Finally, in 2019, after much anticipation, Boat Shoes Hazy IPA officially joined the lineup as a regular product.

Regarding the name "Boat Shoes," Sean Albrecht, Karl Strauss's head brewer and the creator of Boat Shoes, explains:

"When I was on the East Coast for the CBC (Craft Brewers Conference), everyone in the city was wearing boat shoes, and the phrase 'boat shoes' just stuck in my head.

Hazy IPA is a refreshing and easy-drinking beer, so I thought the name 'boat shoes' was a perfect fit for that style.

Who feels uncomfortable wearing boat shoes?" The refreshing citrus aromas of grapefruit and lemon combine with fruity aromas of mango and pineapple, wafting from the glass.

The taste, like the aroma, is led by citrus flavors, followed by the sweetness of fruit and a firm bitterness from the hops.

The body is medium, with a juicy creaminess yet a crisp and clean finish.
