Stone Stone Tangerine Express Hazy IPA (355ml)

A fruity and hoppy IPA packed with the delicious flavors of tangerine and pineapple.

Originally brewed as a limited-edition draft-only Stone Pilot Series: 611 Tangerine Express in September 2016, it is now available as a new standard product.

Instead of simply adding juice, a common and childish method for fruit beers, this beer uses plenty of tangerine puree to create a delicate citrus flavor with a clear, crisp bitterness.

Pineapple is also added to round out the flavor (Note 1).

This achieves a taste that can only be brought out by using real fruit.

From the glass, a bright golden liquid peeks out, and a juicy, tropical, vibrant aroma bursts forth.

The flavor is primarily tangerine, with a subtle hint of pineapple in the background, and notes of citrus, pine, and dankness (Note 2) derived from the hops.

It has a medium body and a dry finish.

Stone, which never compromises on brewing, naturally did not cater to the childish desire for a "beer that tastes like fruit juice." Instead, they created this beer without compromising their belief that "if it calls itself an IPA, it must taste like an IPA."

In May 2020, the name was changed to "Tangerine Express 'Hazy' IPA."

According to Stone, this beer has always been hazy, so they changed the name to reflect its true nature.

Additionally, the packaging has been updated.

Note 1) Only a small amount of pineapple is added as a backbone to enhance the tangerine flavor, and "you probably wouldn't notice it if you drank it without being told." Note 2) A term used to describe a unique nuance in beer aroma and flavor, similar to marijuana.
