Dry rosé cider made from organically grown apples

A dry cider made by fermenting organic Crimson Crisp apples and Boysenberries (see note) with wild yeast.

In 2008, JK's founder Jim Koan heard that a new, unregistered apple variety was being developed in a lab. It was a gamble, but he decided to purchase 200 apple trees that were not in good condition.

This variety, then codenamed Co-op38, was later named CrimsonCrisp due to its purplish-red skin and crisp taste (crimson means deep red).

It is a splendid apple with pink blossoms and red stamens in spring.

No artificial additives are used, and the beautiful rosé color comes from the skin of the Crimson Crisp apples.

Note: Boysenberry is a bramble fruit created by crossing loganberry, blackberry, and raspberry.
