Built in 1933 by the Civilian Conservation Corps as part of a public works project, the Eliot Tower is a 35-foot-tall stone observation tower that offers spectacular views of the Blue Hills Reservation and the Boston skyline.
In 1980, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places, and today it is one of the many attractions near the Trillium Canton location. This beer, named after Eliot Tower, can be considered the big brother to Trailside IPA.
This hazy, pale orange-colored pour offers a tropical fruit aroma that gently rises, with viscous mango sweetness, pineapple sherbet, and lychee notes at the forefront. Citrus and stone fruits also play supporting roles, with aromas of ripe peach, apricot candy, and grapefruit zest. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with a soft, lingering texture on the tongue. The finish is dry, with a subtle yet pleasant bitterness that rounds out the whole experience.
