Fruity aroma, crisp bitterness that is rich yet refreshing. A session-style IPA with an authentic taste but under 5% ABV.
First released in 2010, All Day IPA is the pioneer and champion of session IPAs.
This balanced yet aromatic beer is, as its name suggests, a masterpiece you can enjoy drinking all day long.
"I decided to make All Day IPA because I wanted to drink a beer like this," says Brewmaster Jeremy Kosmicki.
In an era where intensely stimulating beers like Imperial IPAs were the mainstream of craft beer, Jeremy wanted a "light and easy-drinking beer" for the brewery's taproom lineup.
At that time, the session beer category had not yet garnered any attention, and light beers were primarily associated with light lagers from major beer manufacturers.
Amidst this, under the belief of "Brewed for us," they aimed to create a "flavorful beer with a low alcohol content that still allowed for the enjoyment of hop aroma."
This beer was completed after two years of trial and error.
With its fragrant grapefruit aroma from dry-hopping, crisp bitterness, and pleasant malt body, all while being under 5% ABV, it was a completely new type of beer at the time.
And so, this creation, conveniently called "an IPA you can drink all day," was eventually sold as All Day IPA (until the name was officially decided, this beer was called by various names.
Starting with Extra Pale, Solid Gold, then Endurance, Sweet Repute, and finally settling on Endurance – All Day IPA.
After about a year as Endurance – All Day IPA, the current All Day IPA was decided upon).
When poured into a glass, it displays a bright golden color with a fluffy off-white head.
The aroma features vibrant grapefruit, fresh grass, and a hint of cereal-like malt.
Upon tasting, citrus spreads throughout, leading to pine-like bitterness and a subtle malt sweetness.
The finish is dry, bitter, and cleanly crisp.
This is a brewery staple, accounting for roughly half of the brewery's sales.
It's enjoyable on its own, but also perfect for camping, BBQs, outdoor music festivals, and other occasions.
Be sure to casually enjoy this session IPA that changed the history of craft beer.
