Hop bitterness and citrus aroma with bready malt flavor. Exquisite balance and a robust mouthfeel.

The brewery's classic IPA.

This is a true "Midwest-Style IPA" with an excellent balance of bitterness, hop aroma, and malt body.

The Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP), a non-profit organization that promotes knowledge of beer, mead, and cider, and educates on tasting evaluation methods (also conducts BJCP certification exams), recognized it as a model example of American-style IPA and uses it as a standard for judging.

The inspiration for Centennial IPA came in 2001, at a friend's birthday party attended by brewmaster Jeremy Kosmicki.

Jeremy brought a Founders IPA draft, his own brand, to the party.

However, when he offered this IPA to his friend, it was declined, and an IPA from another brewery was chosen instead.

Experiencing great disappointment as a brewer, he created Centennial IPA with the goal of "making an IPA that my friends would enjoy and be proud of."

When poured into a glass, it has a bright amber color with a thick, fluffy white head.

The aroma is grapefruit, orange, pine, floral, and a subtle bready malt.

The taste features classic grapefruit peel flavors with a stimulating pine bitterness.

The not-overpowering sweetness of the malt achieves an exquisite balance with the fruity aroma and hop bitterness.

With a pleasant medium body, the balance is so perfect it creates the illusion that you could drink it forever.
