Firestone Walker Anniversary Ale XXVII (355ml) / 27th Anniversary Ale

An annual beer made by local wine blenders who blend several types of barrel-aged beers in delicate ratios. Bitter chocolate, vanilla, dark roast coffee, and a deep woody nuance unique to bourbon barrels emerge.

This beer is made by Firestone Walker every autumn in collaboration with local winemakers to commemorate Firestone Walker's anniversary.

The journey to the birth of Anniversary Ale begins with groups of winemaker blenders creating their original blends by combining countless ingredients.

All created blends are then blind-tested and the chosen one becomes the base for that year's Anniversary Ale.

Matt Brynildson, Firestone Walker's brewmaster, says, "Winemakers are sophisticated when it comes to the art of blending.

That's why their cooperation has been essential since we started this Anniversary Ale in 2006."

This 27th-anniversary blend contains five masterpieces, all aged in bourbon barrels.

From the depths of bittersweet chocolate, vanilla, and dark roast coffee beans emerges a deep woody nuance unique to bourbon barrels.
