Firestone Walker Anniversary Ale XXVII (355ml) / 27th Anniversary Ale

Every year, with the help of local wine blenders, we blend multiple types of barrel-aged beer in a delicate ratio to create this annual beer. It exudes bitter chocolate, vanilla, dark roasted coffee, and the deep woody nuances unique to bourbon barrels.

This beer is brewed every fall in collaboration with a local winemaker to celebrate Firestone Walker's anniversary.

The journey to creating Anniversary Ale begins with our winemaker blenders working in groups to combine countless ingredients to create their own original blends.

All of the blends produced are then selected through blind testing, and the one chosen will become the base for that year's Anniversary Ale.

This 27th anniversary blend is a blend of five classics, all of which have been aged in bourbon barrels.

The deep woody nuances unique to bourbon barrels exude from the bittersweet chocolate, vanilla, and dark roasted coffee beans.

The breakdown of this year's blend is as follows (the percentage used is in parentheses):

・Double DBA - Bourbon Barrel aged Extra Strong Bitter (33%) ・Dividing Time - Bourbon Barrel aged Barleywine (29%) ・Bravo – Imperial Brown Ale – Aged in Bourbon Barrels (13%) ・Rip This Joint - Imperial Stout aged in Boubron Barrels(13%) ・Velvet Merkin - Imperial Oatmeal Stout aged in Bourbon Barrels (12%)
