Alpine's Signature West Coast Style IPA: A Harmonious Blend of Simcoe and Amarillo Hops
Simcoe and Amarillo hops play in harmony in this brewery's traditional single West Coast Style IPA.
Its flavor is truly a duet, distilled into liquid beer.
A key feature of this beer is that its bitterness is not overpowering.
While many IPAs express their richness of flavor through high IBUs and a piercing bitterness, Duet is different.
With the unison of Simcoe and Amarillo at the heart of its flavor, it offers a soft, smooth, fruity, and full-flavored pleasant experience.
When poured into a glass, it's a slightly hazy golden amber.
Aromas of grain sweetness, grapefruit, and orange peel.
On the palate, citrus, tropical fruits, honey-like flavors derived from malt, with a subtle accent of bitterness.
The finish is dry, with a pleasant bitterness lingering on the tongue.
Medium-bodied, crisp, and juicy mouthfeel.
Despite its 7% ABV, it's surprisingly drinkable, with a deliciousness that makes you want to keep reaching for more.
Awarded bronze medals at the 2010 World Beer Cup and the 2012 Great American Beer Festival.
