A large amount of malt is used and crushed more thoroughly than usual to promote saccharification.

This allows the yeast to metabolize almost all of the sugars, reducing the sweetness of the malt while still increasing the alcohol content.

To finish, the yeast and hops work their magic in their own way.

Dry hopping during the active fermentation stage allows the yeast cells to modify the hop compounds, unlocking entirely new aromas and flavors not found in hops alone.
