Hops used within 24 hours of harvest. Fresh flavors of citrus blossom, rose, and pine burst forth.

Sierra Nevada's specialty "Harvest" series is brewed using various hops and hopping methods, showcasing the flavors of whole hops (fresh hops), which is their specialty.

As they work directly with hop farmers, they are able to quickly use various prototype and new hop varieties each year that are not yet available on the market.

It is no exaggeration to say that this series could only have been created by Sierra Nevada.

"Northern Hemisphere," as the name suggests, is an IPA made exclusively with wet hops (note) from Yakima, Washington, harvested within 24 hours.

This results in a beer packed with herbal, green flavors and citrusy, floral aromas.

It is one of the first wet hop IPAs in craft beer history, born in 1996, and a work that strongly influenced many similar beers that would appear later.

It has an amber appearance with an off-white head.

On the palate, fresh hop-derived flavors of citrus blossom, rose, and pine burst forth.

Enjoy this Wet Hop IPA, a beer that only Sierra Nevada can deliver.

Note) Wet hops are "undried hops harvested within 24 hours."

Considering that it would take about 9 hours to drive from Yakima to San Francisco, one can see how challenging the production of this beer is.

Incidentally, fresh hops, which have a similar meaning to wet hops, are defined as "dried hops harvested within 7 days."
