A carefully crafted lager made with German ingredients and traditional methods. Full-bodied yet easy to drink, with a light bitterness, a hint of malt sweetness, and a clean, crisp finish.
This is a lager that The Brewery is proud of, carefully crafted using traditional methods and ingredients.
Helles beer was born in Munich, Germany in 1894, and its literal translation means "light," describing its color.
This time, we used the Kroizen process and the finest ingredients from Germany (Magnum, Saaz hops, Pilsner malt) to create a fantastic Helles lager.
It's full-bodied yet easy to drink, with light bitterness, a hint of malty sweetness, and a very clean, crisp finish.
The beer is brewed in a Ruhkeller, which means "cellar" in German.
The Kroizen process is a traditional German method that promotes natural fizz without the use of sugar or additional ingredients.
By adding a few percent of a different beer's mash that has reached the peak of main fermentation, additional sugars are provided to the yeast.
During this process the beer is cooled rapidly and then "lagered" (stored in German).
These traditional methods are very time-consuming and laborious, but the end result is worth the effort.
