This has a strong bitterness that makes it a true West Coast IPA, as you'd expect from Karl Strauss.

The name comes from local San Diego radio station 91X and the idea for the brewery came from Tower X, lifeguard tower number 10 on Mission Beach, where Karl Strauss first came up with the idea when he was starting up his brewery.
