First brewed in September 1994, this beer was created to celebrate Lagunitas' 100th brew.

It was then released as a seasonal product in 1995 and is now a flagship product.

Lagunitas cannot be discussed without mentioning this legendary beer, which was the first flagship IPA released in California.

It boasts top-class sales even in the U.S., a treasure trove of IPA styles.

While the label of the IPA has continued to change over time, the recipe itself has remained largely unchanged since its initial release. The only changes have been the switch from Eroica to Horizon hops for bittering, and the addition of hop extract, which extracts bittering compounds from fresh hops, in the early stages of brewing.

It is characterized by a very good balance of malt and hops, yet it creates a unique and distinctive hop character derived from Cascade and Centennial.

From the glass, aromas of grassy, herbal, and pine-like scents reminiscent of chamomile and fennel from the hops, as well as a unique fruitiness derived from the yeast, overflow. One sip and you are captivated by its moderate hop presence and flavors of pine, grapefruit, and tropical fruits.
