Helles Lager is a German-style pale lager primarily produced in Southern Germany, including Munich.

It is said to have originated in the mid-1800s when Munich brewers created it in response to the popularity of Czech Bohemian lagers.

Similar to Czech-style pilsners, it has a hop-derived spiciness, but with a more pronounced malt flavor.

By the way, "Helles" means "bright."

This Bikini Blonde Lager is a refreshing lager made with floral hops, Pilsner malt, and Munich malt.

The package label features a stylized illustration of a blonde Hawaiian girl in a bikini.

It's a slightly hazy golden color with a faint white head.

Toasty bread and floral aromas are present, along with a unique fruitiness from the yeast used by Maui.

Upon tasting, a subtly sweet bread and biscuit-like flavor spreads, gradually giving way to floral and earthy hop characteristics.

The finish is dry with a lingering soft bitterness.
