A wonderful balance of fruity sweetness and tartness, made with apples and Canadian "Saskatoon berries"
Michigan meets Saskatchewan.
A cross-border collaboration brimming with the terroirs of both the United States and its "Northern Neighbour," Canada.
This cider is made with Michigan apples and Canadian "Saskatoon berries."
Saskatoon berries, native to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in central Canada, are pome fruits like apples, but despite their classification, they have a appearance and taste similar to blueberries.
Following Almar Orchard's scrumpy-making principles, freshly pressed Saskatoon berries are blended with apples from their own orchard and fermented, earning it the name "cuvée," reminiscent of a fine wine.
In the glass, a deep, pinkish amber color can be seen, with aromas of floral notes, apple, pleasant tartness, and red fruits.
Upon tasting, a robust fruitiness reminiscent of cherries is immediately noticeable, followed by a moderate sweetness of apple with an earthy undertone and medium carbonation, all harmoniously balanced.
It has a smooth mouthfeel and a dry finish, evoking the astringency of tannins.
This cider encapsulates the joy of sharing a drink with everyone—family, friends, acquaintances, and people all over the world, without distinction.
