Celebrating Surly's 17th anniversary. Inspired by the Boulevardier cocktail. Aged in bitter and bourbon barrels, this drink has a complex flavor reminiscent of cherry, vanilla, brown sugar, and nutmeg.

Harry's New York Bar in Paris, France, is a well-known, long-established establishment founded in 1911 among bar lovers.

Celebrities and famous people from all over the world frequent this bar, and it is also where now-classic cocktails such as the Bloody Mary, Sidecar, and Boulevardier were invented.

During the Prohibition era in the United States, bar enthusiasts even formed a club here called the "International Bar Flies" (a bar fly is someone who frequents a bar every day).

Celebrating Surly's 17th anniversary, the Seventeen pays homage to Harry's New York Bar and is inspired by the Boulevardier, a cocktail made with bourbon, vermouth and Campari.

First, a strong red ale and a strong Scotch ale are blended and then aged in Tattersall bitter orange liquor barrels and Heaven Hill Distillery's Henry McKenna bourbon barrels, resulting in a complex drink with flavors reminiscent of cherry, vanilla, brown sugar and nutmeg.

In reference to Bar Flies, the packaging design features a bold depiction of a realistic fly.
