The base beer for this brew was a Strong Red Ale, almost akin to a barleywine, and was aged in multiple barrels, including Parker's Heritage Wheat Whiskey barrels, Elijah Craig 12-year-old Bourbon barrels, and Ruby Port wine barrels.
Finished with fresh strawberry and raspberry purees, it adds dazzling fruity accents atop the complex malt and barrel flavors.
