The Portland Trail Blazers, one of America's NBA teams, are based in Portland, Oregon, Deschutes' home state.

Known affectionately as "Rip City," the team teamed up with Deschutes to create Rip City Lager, specially crafted for local fans.

A distinctive feature is the plaid pattern on the packaging.

This is a trademark of the Trail Blazers, adopted in honor of the late Jack Ramsay, the long-time coach who led the team to an NBA championship in 1977.

Rip City Lager features Lemondrop, Crystal, and Hallertau Mittelfruh hops, and is described as "the ultimate lager you can drink again and again" with a refreshing citrus aftertaste and a clean, crisp finish.
