Topa Topa Rarefaction (473ml)

A collaboration with up-and-coming San Diego brewery Burgeon Beer. A drinkable West Coast Pilsner generously hopped with three popular varieties.

At the beginning of 2020, we brewed a collaboration beer with Burgeon Beer Company, an up-and-coming brewery in San Diego with whom we had previously built a relationship.

At the time, we never imagined that the world and social conditions would change so dramatically due to the pandemic that followed shortly thereafter.

Rarefaction literally means "thinning out" or "dilution."

With the onset of COVID, opportunities to meet face-to-face drastically decreased, and perhaps relationships with many breweries and drinkers have become diluted.

This time, after roughly two years, we were able to invite our friends from Burgeon Beer to Topa Topa and brew a collaboration beer while meeting face-to-face again! This joyful beer celebrates our reunion, combining a balanced West Coast IPA, which we love, with a clean and refreshing Pilsner!
