Smog City Forest Understory IPA (473ml) / Forest Understory

A collaboration with San Diego's popular brewery PureProject. Classic hops and coniferous buds are added to create a refreshing pine and sap feel. It's like taking a deep breath in the forest after a rain.

An IPA created in collaboration with Pure Project, an up-and-coming brewery in San Diego.

Both Smog City and Pure Project are involved in the "1% for the Planet" initiative, which donates a portion of their beer sales to environmental protection organizations, and this beer is brewed to support the National Forest Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to conserve forests across the United States.

By adding coniferous buds to classic hops such as Simcoe, Centennial, Chinook, and Citra, the beer has a refreshing piney and sap-like flavor, like taking a deep breath in the forest after a rain.
