As Hazy IPAs have become a global phenomenon, the unfortunate hop, Columbus, whose presence is almost forgotten, is once again in the spotlight in this IPA.

In the early days of craft beer, Columbus was a very important and major hop.

Not only was it suitable for use in the bittering stage to impart bitterness to beer, but its dense, magnificent marijuana-like and orange-like aromas captivated many brewers and drinkers.

However, many new varieties such as Citra were subsequently developed, and Columbus gradually began to be treated as an outdated hop.

As its frequency of use decreased, the time it spent in storage naturally increased, and during this time, its wonderful aroma deteriorated, leading to a vicious cycle where it began to emit unpleasant aromas reminiscent of onions and garlic.
