Founders Mosaic Promise (355ml)

A simple yet flavorful beer made with Mosaic hops and Golden Promise malt

This American Pale Ale uses only Mosaic hops and a malt variety called Golden Promise.

Originally, it was a limited edition brew in 2014 as part of the "Artist Series" (note) lineup, but it was revived as a seasonal product and is now released annually.

The package label features a stained-glass art piece displayed in the brewery's taproom. The woman depicted on this label is Ninkasi, the goddess said to preside over brewing in ancient Mesopotamia.

The Mosaic hop used in this beer is a new variety released in 2012.

It was named "Mosaic" because it imparts various aromas and flavors to beer, such as citrus, tropical fruits, and berry fruits.

Golden Promise malt is a traditional variety produced in Scotland, bringing a clean taste with a hint of sweetness.

Combining these two creates a simple yet deeply flavorful beer with prominent hop aroma and flavor.

When poured into a glass, it displays a clear golden color with a white foamy head.

The aroma is dominated by Mosaic hops, with notes of lemon, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, and melon.

Upon tasting, fruity nuances are also dominant, followed by pine-like bitterness and a slight malt sweetness.

The finish is dry, with a lingering bitterness.

Founders is also skilled at brewing complex beers using various ingredients and adjuncts, but Mosaic Promise is a masterpiece born from the pursuit of "simple beauty."

Note: This series is released annually in conjunction with "ArtPrize," the world's largest art competition held in Founders' hometown of Grand Rapids every fall.
