The Barrel-Aged Series is one of Founders' signature products.

This "Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS)" was released for Founders' 20th anniversary.

It is named "Canadian" because the barrels used to make maple syrup, a Canadian specialty, are reused.

Imperial stout Breakfast Stout, infused with chocolate and coffee, is aged in bourbon barrels that previously held maple syrup.

Since its debut, this beer quickly gained popularity and is known as a legendary, ultra-limited edition that many beer geeks eagerly desire.

The aging cellar is located in a cave approximately 85 feet (about 25m) underground.

Originally a gypsum mining cave, it is now used by Founders as an aging cellar.

As of April 2016, they possessed over 9,000 bourbon barrels, making it one of the largest barrel-aging projects in America.

This deep underground area naturally maintains an ideal cellar temperature for beer aging.

Aromas of concentrated roasted coffee, maple syrup, milk chocolate, vanilla, oak, and bourbon overflow from the glass.

Upon tasting, the roasted flavor and sweetness of maple, coffee, and chocolate envelop the entire tongue, while bourbon, vanilla, and a hint of hop bitterness spread in a well-balanced manner.

The finish offers a pleasant, long aftertaste of bourbon, alcoholic warmth, and a slight malt sweetness.

It is full-bodied with a silky smooth mouthfeel.
