It happened one day.

Dave was working in the brewery's taproom that day.

Then one of the regulars brought over some chocolate-covered espresso beans.

He took some beans from the customer and sipped them along with the Founders Porter he was drinking.

At that moment, the idea for this beer came to him.

Later, this beer was released to the world as a stout with a refined flavor based on that idea.
