Firestone Walker DBA (355ml)

A fusion of beers brewed in two types of barrels: wood and stainless steel. The smooth caramel notes of the malt are complemented by smoky and vanilla flavors derived from the wooden barrels. FSW's flagship product, boasting numerous awards.

Launched in 1996, at the same time as Firestone Walker's establishment, it has consistently been a pioneering English-style pale ale.

Upon its release, it created a sensation in the brewery's local Central Coast region of California and became recognized as a benchmark in a new era of beer.

It is one of the few beers brewed using their proprietary "Firestone Union" system, and was named "Double Barrel" Ale because it is produced through two methods of primary fermentation.

After primary fermentation is completed in both the Firestone Union system and stainless steel tanks, the contents are blended at a ratio of 2:8, filtered, and then transferred to stainless steel cellar tanks for cold stabilization before being filled into kegs, bottles, and cans.

In addition to the commonly available version, there is also an "Unfiltered DBA," which is 100% Firestone Union system, unfiltered, and only available at the brewery.

Brewed faithfully to its style, this beautifully clear reddish-brown beer, poured into a glass, offers smooth caramel and toffee notes from the pale malt, along with beautiful smoky and vanilla flavors derived from the wooden barrels.

It is a full-bodied, hoppy beer with a gentle, elegant aroma reminiscent of French bread, typical of an English bitter, and flavors of black tea, vanilla, citrus, and toffee.

Having won a gold medal at the 2002 World Beer Cup, and gold medals at the Great American Beer Festival three times in 2011, 2012, and 2015, this DBA is a globally recognized landmark of English-style pale ale.
