A soft sweetness and clean finish, with a subtly fragrant amber ale
"European Beer Star 2021"
Gold Award in the ENGLISH-STYLE BITTER category
Born in 1991, alongside the founding of the brewery.
Currently, it is America's best-selling amber ale and the brewery's flagship product.
It was the beer that marked a turning point in a young electrician's homebrewing journey.
Belgian beers are brewed using completely different ingredients (fruits, spices, special yeasts) from German and English beer styles.
Fat Tire has gained numerous fans due to its excellent balance, where toasty, biscuit-like malt flavors perfectly harmonize with hoppy freshness.
This beer, with its clear amber liquid and beautiful white head, has aromas of sweet, biscuit-like caramel malt, subtle fresh fennel, and green apple.
Its flavor features toasty malt, soft sweetness, and vibrant hop bitterness, with a superb balance between malt and hops.
Medium-bodied, with a clean finish where a light sweetness lingers on the tongue.
The name "Fat Tire" comes from the mountain bike co-founder Jeff rode while visiting numerous breweries across Belgium.
Awarded a silver medal at the 1996 World Beer Cup.
In 2006, due to the immense popularity of this beer, the brewery's logo was changed to one featuring the Fat Tire bike, which is also depicted on the label.
This decision was made because, at the time, Fat Tire was more well-known than New Belgium.
From this, you can see how much this beer continues to be loved by people.
In 2013, Fat Tire's production volume was 400,000 barrels, and that volume continues to grow.
Fat Tire is an amber ale with a wonderful taste that captivates everyone.
