A monster beer with an overwhelming richness of malt sweetness and intense hop bitterness, smooth and easy to drink despite being full-bodied.

A wild bullet known as barleywine, boasting a cult following.

This beer is a barleywine, one of Sierra Nevada's high-alcohol, full-bodied "High Altitude" series.

First brewed in the winter of 1983, this limited-edition brew, with its weighty, bittersweet malt flavor and the stimulating concentration of whole hops harvested from the Pacific Northwest, is truly a beast of a beer.

American-style barleywine, which allows you to experience a wild and intense flavor without feeling difficult to drink, was not a widely accepted style in what could be called the dawn of craft beer, but it gained enthusiastic support from some people.

It is also loved by beer collectors as it can be cellared for a long period, and it takes on new characteristics as time passes.

When poured into a glass, it has a cloudy ruby brown color with a dark brown head.

The aroma has notes of sugar, caramel, toffee, and a faint earthy pine.

Upon tasting, the overwhelming sweetness of the malt and the bitterness of the hops hit you simultaneously.

A pleasant alcoholic sensation warms the body, and a bitterness lingers in the finish.

It's full-bodied but smooth and even easy to drink.

With years of cellaring, it develops notes of sherry and port wine.

It won gold medals at the Great American Beer Festival in 1987, 1988, 1992, 1995, and 2005, and a silver medal in 1997.

It won a silver medal at the World Beer Cup in 2012.

This historic barleywine has a monster-sized list of awards.

By the way, Bigfoot is a cryptid (unidentified animal) sighted in the Rocky Mountains of the United States and Canada, or a general term for such cryptids.
