Lagunitas IPA (355ml)

Lagunitas' best-selling IPA, featuring soft citrus and a light bitterness. The legendary beer was the first flagship IPA to be released in California.

First brewed in September 1994, this beer was created to celebrate Lagunitas' 100th brew.

It was then released as a seasonal product in 1995 and is now a flagship product.

This IPA, with its immense amount of hops, accounts for over 50% of the beer produced at the brewery.

Lagunitas cannot be discussed without mentioning this legendary beer, which was the first flagship IPA to be released in California.

It boasts one of the highest sales volumes in the US, a treasure trove of IPA styles.

While the IPA label has continued to change over time, the recipe has remained largely unchanged since its initial release. The only changes have been the switch from Eroica to Horizon for the bittering hops, and the addition of hop extract, which extracts bittering components from raw hops, during the initial brewing stage.

It features a very good balance between malt and hops, yet still creates a unique and distinctive hop character derived from Cascade and Centennial.

The glass overflows with grassy, herbal, and piney aromas reminiscent of chamomile and fennel from the hops, as well as a unique fruitiness derived from the yeast. With one sip, you'll be captivated by its moderate hop character and flavors of pine, grapefruit, and tropical fruits.
