Stone Tropic of Thunder Lager

Stone Tropic of Thunder Lager is the result of experimentation with Mosaic, Citra, and the newly added Cashmere hops, and is said to express Stone's playfulness and love for hops.

The combination of these three hops creates a refreshing and crushable lager with prominent crisp citrus and tropical fruit aroma and flavor.

According to Stone Brewing CEO Dominic Engels, while IPAs are absolute favorites and new styles are released every year, over 75% of craft beer sales are lagers.

That's why they created Stone Tropic of Thunder Lager as "Lager for IPA lovers."

When poured into a glass, fruity aromas like melon and pineapple overflow with citrus freshness, and subtle hints of white wine and clean malt aroma waft through the air.

The flavor is a exquisite balance of juicy fruit flavors of ripe cantaloupe and passionfruit with citrus notes, followed by fresh hops and white wine flavors, and a faint biscuity flavor derived from the malt.

The finish leaves a slight sweetness and a pleasant lingering hop bitterness.
