Belgian yeast, wheat-derived banana, apple, orange, fruity and spicy, light citrus flavor
Belgian-style beer represents the pinnacle of the art of beer-making.
Thanks to sophisticated brewing techniques, blended yeasts and unique adjuncts such as coriander and orange peel, Belgian beer has achieved a status in Belgium similar to that of wine in other countries.
PranQster pays homage to that art, a Belgian-style golden ale brewed with a blend of traditional yeasts.
When poured into a glass, it is a slightly cloudy gold to orange color.
Belgian yeast, wheat-derived banana, apple, orange, a slight yogurt-like fruity and spicy flavor, and a light citrus note.
As the temperature rises, the honeyed apple sweetness and full-bodied character come to the fore.
It has the fruity yeast nuances typical of the Belgian style, but is also light and easy to drink, almost like a pilsner.
The style name "golden ale" may give you only a vague idea of what kind of beer it is, but it was coined by beer writer Michael Jackson when describing Duvel from Duvel-Moortgat brewery.
When Duvel was first created, it was a dark ale, but in 1970, after three years of preparation, it was changed to a light golden-colored beer.
Since then, it has become popular around the world as the pinnacle of golden ale.
This trend also influenced the American craft beer scene, with many Belgian-style golden ales now being brewed in America.
And one of the most highly praised beers among them is PranQster.
It has won seven medals in competitions, including a silver at the Great American Beer Festival.
