In 2017, they opened their second Smog City taproom at SteelCraft, an outdoor food hall made from recycled shipping containers. There, you can enjoy Smog City's fresh beers with a variety of foods under the bright blue skies of Los Angeles.
In 2019, they opened their third taproom within the Glendora Public Market.
Porter's exceptional balance and skill in brewing creative beers have made him a leader in the Los Angeles craft beer community.
"If someone says they don't like beer, they just haven't had the right one yet."
This is his belief.
His wife, Laurie, now handles all operations, from sales and public relations to taproom management and financial administration.
Beyond Smog City Brewing, she is actively and socially involved in revitalizing the Los Angeles craft brewery scene, serving on the boards of several organizations, including the California Craft Brewers Association.
In 2021, Smog City celebrated its 10th anniversary. They have revamped their core item packaging and continue to brew flavorful craft beers in every style. Their continued progress is worth watching.
