Title

Mother Road Brewing (hereafter, Mother Road) is

an Arizona-based brewery that continues to grow by brewing beers that celebrate travel, discovery, and community connections,

in homage to Route 66's nickname, "Mother Road."

Founded by professionals
from diverse industries

Its mission is "to brew unique beers and cultivate community one pint at a time."
Mother Road's craft beers are filled with classic cars embodying the American dream, local scenery,
and stories that come to life.

Started a business with the belief of enjoying life as an adventure

Mother Road is a craft beer brewery located on historic Route 66 in Flagstaff, Arizona.

It was founded in 2011 by Michael and Alissa Marquess,

who believed in "living life like an adventure."

The couple, who had previously worked as a real estate appraiser and a barista,

pursued their ideal lifestyle and started their own business with the support of their family.

They renovated a building that was once a laundry factory in the 1920s,

brewed their first batch in October 2011, and officially opened the taproom the following month.

Fostering Community
with Unique Brewing

 Mother Road's mission is to

"brew distinctive beers and foster community one pint at a time."

As its name suggests, in homage to Route 66, also known as "Mother Road,"

it values travel, discovery, and connections with the community.

Since its inception, its commitment has been to

"pursue tastes that are loved for a long time rather than chasing trends."

Although not flashy, its flavor, which has a solid foundation, has been highly praised,
leading to strong support.

Furthermore, the designs evoke a certain nostalgia, such as the classic cars driving across the desolate landscape and the motels along the route, which are reminiscent of the American Dream of the past and are featured in the label designs.

Providing an appealing space where local residents and travelers can gather

The taproom in downtown Flagstaff is a warm and inviting space where locals and travelers alike can gather casually.

Families and dogs are welcome, and the space is designed to foster natural interaction over beer, with local food trucks, board games, and outdoor seating around a bonfire.

In addition, the brewing facilities operate as a dual-site system, with the original location used for small-batch experimental brews and limited-edition beers, while mass production and canning are handled at a dedicated second location.

Brewery Growth and
Contribution to the Community

In 2015, Mother Road became the first brewery in Arizona to begin distribution outside the state (in New Mexico).

By 2018, it was recognized as the fourth-largest independent craft brewery in the state.

Going forward, the company aims to achieve an annual production of 45,000 to 60,000 barrels,

and is also considering partnerships and M&A with other like-minded breweries.

The company is also actively involved in community contributions, including events in collaboration with nature conservation groups,

and the "Bike Olympics" cycling competition,

demonstrating numerous activities that value engagement with the local community.
